Germany launches a project to build a more advanced European air defense system in cooperation with European countries

A project to develop a more sophisticated European air defence system was begun by Germany in collaboration with more than 12 other nations.
On the eve of a NATO summit in Brussels, German Defense Minister Christiana Lambrcht signed a statement with other European ministers regarding the so-called “Sky Schild” system (shield of heaven).
This project would bridge existing gaps in the current protection umbrella of NATO for Europe.

It is remarkable that some palaces, like ballistic missiles, have features that allow them to go at enormous heights.
The Russian invasion on Ukraine in particular prompted the German push for this project since, in NATO’s opinion, the security environment in Europe has drastically changed, necessitating more air defence efforts.

The European “Sky Schild” plan, which will cover a vast region at the lowest cost, is scheduled to buy new weapons systems in collaboration with other nations.
The German Defense Minister said today, Thursday, with the inauguration of the project: “By this we are committed together to assume our shared responsibility for security in our continent,” explaining that the matter also relates to “political, financial, as well as technology.

” According to Lambrcht’s comments, 14 countries are participating alongside Germany in the initiative. representatives from the Czech Republic, Belgium, Slovakia, Norway, Latvia, Hungary, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Romania, and Slovenia.
