The Automatic Pricing Committee for Petroleum Products announced the increase in gasoline and diesel prices during its most recent meeting, which intensified research activities on fuel pricing prior to the hike.
For the past three months, up until the announcement of new pricing, we have provided you with old gasoline prices vs new prices through these lines.

The automatic pricing committee for petroleum products, which is responsible for monitoring and implementing the mechanisms of applying the automatic pricing of petroleum products and meets quarterly, decided in its meeting held after the end of last June to increase the prices of gasoline 80 and 92 and diesel 50 cents in price, and the pound of gasoline price 95. It also recommended changing the current prices currently in effect in the local market for the following products:

-Gasoline now costs 10.75 pounds per litre instead of 9.75 pounds, an increase of 95 pounds.
– The cost of gasoline increased by 92 cents a litre, or 50 cents, to 9.25 pounds from 8.75 pounds.
Gasoline went from costing 7.50 pounds to 8 pounds after an 80 percent price hike.
As for the price of the diesel, it increased by 50 piasters per liter, to reach 7. 25 pounds instead of 6. 75 pounds.

-Except for the diesel prices supplied to the food and electricity industries, which remained fixed at 4,600 pounds per tonne, the price of a tonne of diesel supplied for all industries increased 400 pounds per tonne, making the price of a tonne 5000 pounds per tonne.
