France puts plans to neutralize Russian Vagner mercenaries in Africa

According to the American Axios website, France has come up with a new plan of action to deal with Russian mercenaries in Africa.
The American site indicated that 10 senior French officials, who refused to reveal their names, have briefed some American platforms on the strategy that France was developing in Africa during meetings in Paris this week.

According to the website, the French Armed Forces have developed a war of information that is focused on identifying and countering “media attacks” that originate in Russia.
By demonstrating that the group does not offer security but rather brings “death and exploitation,” as one of the authorities puts it, to the location of Oxis, this serves as part of the goal to “neutralise Wagner in Africa.”

Earlier this year, France said it thwarted an attempt by Vagner mercenaries to dig a mass grave in Mali and blame the French forces.
The French official declared: “We compete with Russian efforts to drive France and the West out of Africa, not with Wagner.

One name kept coming up during the talks of the French officials: Yevgeni Brigujin, an oligarch and Putin’s buddy who established the Wagner military force and is in charge of supervising an army of internet plotters (bots).
The Central African Republic and Mali are home to 2,400 Vagner mercenaries, according to the most recent French estimate. In fact, the two nations severed ties with France in favour of Russia.

After colonialism ended, France held sway over West Africa for a while, but it appears that Russia is gaining ground there despite the conflict in Ukraine.
The American website went on to say that according to French officials, local NGOs and possibly even the Kremlin itself are supporting online campaigns and accounts critical of France.

” In addition, the Kremlin has increased his public communication with African leaders in recent years, as Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has made several visits to the countries of the continent.
Nine years after the conflict against the rebels in Mali expanded over the region, the French military finally withdrew from the country in August.

The leader of the Military Council in Mali, Asimi Ghaouta, who took power in the 2020 coup, expelled the French from his country, and welcomed Pfigner, although he claims to work only with “Russian coaches”.
This occurs when a different flag, the Russian flag, with the colours red, white, and blue, surfaced during recent protests in French-speaking West African capitals.

According to the American website, French officials want to keep their military operations under wraps while concentrating their attention on the development and assistance initiatives for which they donate hundreds of millions of dollars.
