Egypt’s Salah Taher’s painting on sale at Sotheby’s

CAIRO – 13 October 2022: On October 19, Sotheby’s International Auctions in London will organise an auction focusing on “Arts of the Middle East.”
The works of numerous Arab plastic artists, including Egyptian artists, will be included in the sale.
An untitled painting by Egyptian artist Salah Taher is one of the works up for auction. The price range for the painting is between £6,000 and £8,000.
One of Egypt’s most well-known plastic painters is Salah Taher (1911 – 2007).

Salah Taher was once the Realist school of art’s representative. Although he quickly switched to the Abstract school, he did not entirely reject the Realist school.
Taher made an effort to combine the two artistic schools in many of his paintings and other creations. The Intermediate Stage of Abstraction was the name of one of his products at one point in his life.
