CAIRO – 13 October 2022: The Cairo Symphony Orchestra will continue to deliver the “Classical Approach Concerts” series with a concert scheduled for October 15 at 8 p. m. at the Grand Theater of the Cairo Opera House.
Opera soloist Wissam Ahmed will perform with Maestro Magdy Baghdadi throughout the evening.
Beethoven’s Egmont Opening, LeBron’s Oboe and Orchestra Concerto, and Haydn’s Symphony No. 44 are all in the concert’s schedule.
It is significant that the Cairo Symphony Orchestra was established in 1959 by the Austrian conductor Franz Lichtour, making it the oldest orchestra in Egypt.
Since then, the orchestra has supported Egyptian musicians, composers, and instrumentalists by hosting the most renowned players in the world and enhancing the musical landscape in Egypt.
Cairo Symphony Orchestra will perform on October 15 at the Cairo Opera House.
