(WBAY) – Green Bay, Wisconsin Both candidates in the Wisconsin attorney general race were present on Wednesday in Northeast Wisconsin.
Depending on the outcome of the election on November 8, enforcement policies relating to crime, abortion, immigration, and the environment will be significantly influenced.
Josh Kaul, a Democrat, is running for re-election. He was raised in the same county where his opponent, Republican Eric Toney, has been the district attorney since 2013.
According to polling, this election is very close, just like those for other statewide posts.
On Wednesday, we had a conversation with Kaul in the county’s Democratic offices. Criminal prosecutions, the protection of natural resources, and challenging voting-rights laws, according to him, have been among his major concerns since taking office. We enquired as to his main worry going forward.
Our legislators must take action and make investments in public safety, according to Kaul.
And since shared revenue is a differentiator in the A. G. s race, I’d also like to see an increase in it. I offer thoughtful options for financing public safety. My opponent has not yet provided any solutions.
Toney had a campaign stop in Green Bay on Wednesday. He keeps mentioning how many law enforcement organisations in the state have endorsed him. The National Federation of Independent Business gave the most current support.
