The toilet paper supply is in danger due to the Russian ban on exporting birch wood

Due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, toilet paper has now been added to the list of products with high costs and restricted supply chains.
According to Bloomberg News Agency on Wednesday, the export prohibition on Russian birch, which contains short fibres that smooth out health care goods, created a conflict over the primary ingredient in paper.

Russia prohibited the export of birch wood in March in a revenge for the sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union after Moscow began invading Ukrainian lands.
According to estimates from the industry, as a result, the market will lose between 800,000 and 1,2,000,000 metric tonnes of pulp.

The Russian embargo on the export of birch wood puts the supply of toilet paper in jeopardy.
