The “Russian Energy Week” forum .. The stability of the energy market cannot be achieved in isolation from Russia

Erina Abramova, the director of the African Studies Institute, discussed the difficulties facing the world’s energy markets in light of economic worries and the impossibility of stabilising the energy market in isolation from Russia in an interview with RT.

“The issue lies in the fact that all the challenges in the global energy markets arise from the policies that damage the economy of countries,” she remarked on the sidelines of her participation in the “Russian Energy Week” international forum in Moscow.
She continued by saying that Russia cannot participate in the global energy market on its own, but she emphasised that Russia has the ability to open up new markets for its energy products.

Alexander Novak, the deputy prime minister of Russia, earlier made reference to the delicate nature of the situation on the world oil market. About 20% of the world’s oil production is made up of Iran, Venezuela, and Russia, all of which are subject to sanctions.
He claimed that Russia is getting ready to impose an embargo on Russian energy imports and oil derivatives on the European Union.
