The Calgary restaurant’s missing sign from the day before it was scheduled to close has been located.
The sign was discovered by Calgary police, according to a post made early on Wednesday on Facebook by the owner, Kwong Cheung.
“Our sign was discovered tonight at 10:45! (Oct. 11) Big thanks to Cst. Dahlseide and Cst. Hamel of Calgary Police Service district 3,” Cheung wrote in the post.

Since the restaurant’s opening in 1975, the sign has been a crucial element of its history.
Once more, our family owes you for all of your help over the last 47 years and with this. We are fortunate! Cheung continued, “Thank you, thank you.
“A wonderful retirement story and a genuine Thanksgiving bookend! This retirement tale is probably the best.
On October 9, the eatery formally shut its doors so Cheung and his wife could retire.
