Russian official: The United States and the European Union continue to push Ukraine to the brink of the abyss

Alexander Venedictov, the deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council, declared today, Wednesday, that the West must understand that battling “till the last Ukrainian” will accomplish nothing and that the European Union and the United States should stop pushing Ukraine “to hell.”
In privileged interviews with the Russian “TASS” news agency, Venedictov claimed that “direct directions from Washington” were the driving force behind the Russian-Russian conversations last spring.

He continued, “Americans and Europeans continue enthusiastically pushing Kyiv to hell. Once the West realises that the fighting strategy until the last Ukrainian will not result in anything, then it is possible to think about returning to our initiatives (negotiations with the West on the security guarantees of Russia).

It is noteworthy that on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that he had begun a military operation against Ukrainian targets with the goal of defending the citizens of the Donbas region. This announcement led many Western and American nations to impose severe economic sanctions against Russia.

Russian official: Ukraine continues to be pushed to the verge of collapse by the European Union and the United States.
