Patio season in Winnipeg is finished now that fall is in full swing and winter is quickly approaching, right?
Not exactly.
The city said on Wednesday that it has made registration for its temporary patio programme accessible to bars and restaurants interested in extending their patio season from November 1 until the end of next year.
Businesses must adhere to criteria such as snow removal, heating sources, limits on tents and shelters, and other safety rules in order to operate a winter patio.
