The Argentine Super Cup will be held in the UAE’s capital city of Abu Dhabi in January 2023, according to the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
This action is part of a four-year strategic agreement between the Council and the Argentine Football Association.
River Plate has participated on more than two prior occasions in the Argentine Super Cup, which was first played in 2012 and of which only 8 copies were played.
The Argentine national team camp for the 2022 World Cup will be held in Abu Dhabi, and its schedule, which includes a series of friendlies in November, will conclude on November 16 with the UAE squad at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium.
