Following an argument with another prisoner, a 46-year-old prisoner was pronounced dead at the Regina Correctional Center on Wednesday morning, according to the Corrections, Policing and Public Safety Department of Saskatchewan.
The prison personnel started life-saving procedures and dialled EMS. At around 8:50 a.m., EMS declared the prisoner dead.
The police are working to alert the kin.
The Saskatchewan Coroners Service and the RCMP are making investments.
A internal investigation is also being carried out by the Ministry of Corrections, Policing, and Public Safety.
