A university professor has been separated for not giving good grades to students

A petition was presented by students at a historic American university against their professor Metland Jones, alleging that he violates their right to grades, that his course is extremely challenging, and that the degrees he awards do not meet the requirements for admission to the College of Medicine.

Out of 350 students, 82 submitted the petition, and the professor is well recognised for his experience instructing organic chemistry. He is a doctor and professor at New York University, and he also spent four decades studying there.
“We are very concerned about our results, and we find it not an accurate reflection of the time and effort made,” said the petition, according to the New York Times.

The 84-year-old gave his opinion in support of his criterion, saying that he had started to notice students losing attention because they weren’t attending lectures or watching the videos he thought they should be watching at home, and they couldn’t respond to questions.

The other chemistry professors objected to the decisions, and the students supporting “Jones” presented support messages, as there were equal and contradictory feelings towards the university’s handling of the petition. However, the deans of the New York University separated it just before, and the institution terminated the professor’s work.

A university lecturer was fired for not awarding students high grades.
