A Palestinian youth was killed amid clashes with the Israeli army in the Al-Aroub camp in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported today, Wednesday.
The Ministry of Health said in a statement, that Osama Mahmoud Adawi (18 years old) died after he was shot dead in the abdomen in Al -Aroub camp, south of Bethlehem.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa), Israeli troops and Palestinian youth protesting Israeli army activities engaged in physical altercations near the entrance of Al-Aroub camp.
For his part, the Israeli army said in a statement: “A short time ago, a number of suspects threw stones on the main street near the Al -Uroub camp, to harm Israeli vehicles on it, which endangers the lives of civilians who drive cars there at risk.
The soldiers from the Israeli army who were present in the vicinity kept an eye on the suspects close to the Al-Aroub camp and opened fire when necessary, injuring one of them, the statement continued.
According to the Red Crescent and the Palestinian Ministry of Health, fighting is occurring in various areas of the West Bank, during which the Israeli army on Wednesday injured two Palestinians.
Wednesday saw a strike in East Jerusalem in opposition to the Israeli government’s forced closure of the Shuafat refugee camp and the continuation of a major search for the Israeli soldier’s shooter.
