For two weeks, “NASA” undertook the first task of its sort to determine whether a lethal rock would one day be washed away by the earth.
According to NASA, the spacecraft (Dart) struck the asteroid Dimorfos on September 26 and caused a crater in it. As a result, debris was released into space, creating a comet-like effect of dust and debris that stretches for thousands of miles.

According to the Associated Press, it took days to ascertain how much the collision had altered the asteroid’s companion, a considerably larger space rock, and its companion’s 525-foot (160-meter) height around it.
The moon spun around the original asteroid for 11 hours and 55 minutes before crashing. The asteroid’s orbit should take around 32 minutes instead of the 10 minutes that scientists had hoped to achieve, according to a NASA official.

The vehicle (Dart), which was launched last year when it collided with the asteroid, 7 million miles (11 million km) at a speed of 14,000 miles per hour (22,500 km per hour).
The test has a 325 million dollar price tag.
