Despite the bad results, Buffon supports Alegre’s continued as a coach for Juventus

Gianluigi Buffon, a Juventus and Italian great, backed Massimiliano Alegre to head Juventus in the upcoming season despite the Bianconeri’s dismal performance under his direction in the immediate past.
Max Alegre received criticism from Juventus and the media following a poor start to the season in the Italian league and the Champions League, but Buffon thinks the elderly woman should have faith in the manager.

“Juventus has some issues, but a lot of it is due to injuries. I am confident that Alegre will remedy the situation, and the players will experience the fulfilment they deserve.
One of the most well-known Juventus players, Buffon owns the record for the most Italian league titles won with the team—10 of them while Alegre was the manager.
Under the direction of the Italian coach, the 2006 World Cup champion Italy played 168 games and maintained 88 games.

Paulo Dybala, a former teammate of Buffon’s who joined Rome in the summer, was also backed by the goalkeeper. However, Dybala might not be in the World Cup after suffering a serious injury to Lichy yesterday.
“I can only commend him for what he is doing; no one questions his qualities. I need a new challenge and decided on an interesting job in Rome. He is content with what he does, and I hope he won’t miss the World Cup,” Buffon said.

In addition, Buffon lauded Gigo Donnaroma of Paris Saint-Germain, calling him “the perfect goalie” to take over as the Azuri guard’s head.

Buffon supports Alegre’s ongoing employment as Juventus coach despite the poor performances.
