Al-Madina News: Israeli occupation troops suppressed a celebration honouring the Prophet’s birthday in the occupied city of Jerusalem on Saturday, inflicting severe bruises on Palestinians and arresting others.
And the official Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed Bab Al-Amoud Square in the occupied city of Jerusalem in preparation for a celebration honouring the Prophet’s birthday, assaulted those gathered to watch the performances of scouting teams that were wandering the streets of Jerusalem, and detained a number of people. While I attacked the residents of the Bab Al-Sahira area, there were youths nearby who caused harm to others.
In the midst of stringent restrictions imposed by the occupation authority in the city, the residents and visitors of Jerusalem observed the Prophet’s birthday as scouts patrolled the streets and alleyways of the Old City.
The scouts marched through the streets of Al-Zahraa, Salah El-Din, and Sultan Suleiman before reaching Bab Al-Amoud and concluding in the hallowed Al-Aqsa Mosque’s squares.
The participants in the march, which was punctuated by prophetic acclamations from Jerusalemite groups, received sweets from Old City shops.
In connection with the anniversary of the Prophet’s birth, the old town’s markets experienced a commercial boom, and tens of thousands of Muslims travelled there to pray in the hallowed Al-Aqsa Mosque and observe the occasion in the mosque’s courtyards.
In the Al-Qibli prayer hall, the Department of Islamic Endowments of Jerusalem also commemorated the anniversary of the Prophet’s birth with religious music and narratives concerning the life and times of our Noble Messenger.
Israeli repression at Bab al-celebration Amud’s of the Prophet’s birthday resulted in injuries and arrests.
