According to numerous British and Spanish tabloids, a mock petition to withdraw the player from the competition was sent to the British Parliament in a satirical gesture.
The petitions claim that the Man City star is a “robot,” a “robot,” or a goal-scoring machine, or, in the words of the goalkeeper of the Danish Copenhagen squad, which lost to the Citizens by a score of 5: “is not a human being.”
And following Manchester City’s 4-0 victory over Southampton, manager Guardiola made a snide remark about the petition.
