The Czech police reported that over 157 immigrants and four people involved in people trafficking had been detained during the course of the previous 24 hours.
On September 28, as a result of an upsurge in illegal immigration, Radio Prague International announced in its English-language magazine, the Czechs reclaimed control of 27 previous border crossings with Slovakia.
He noted that since the reinstatement of border checks, police had located roughly 1,700 migrants and captured about 50 smugglers.
At the Slovakian border, the Czech Republic detains 157 migrants in one day.
