7 soldiers killed in Djibouti in a terrorist attack on a barracks

A rebel group attacked an army barracks early on Friday, killing seven troops. Djibouti reported this and began a search effort to find the six soldiers who were still missing.
The attack on a facility in Garaptisan, in the north of the tiny nation in the Horn of Africa, was attributed in a statement by the Ministry of Defense to the “Front for the Reunification and Armed Democracy,” which it called a “terrorist outfit.”

“Seven of our soldiers were killed, four were wounded, and six were left after this attack,” she added, despite their valiant defence.
She went on to say that the gang is making every effort to find the assailants and find the missing. She claimed that “this group is notorious for its ugly and unlawful intimidation and looting in remote areas of the country.”
On Saturday, the authorities gave no additional details.

By waging war against the “Issa,” another prominent ethnic group in the country, the “Front for the Restoration of Unity and Democracy,” created by the “Afar” ethnic group, launched an insurrection against the government in 1991.
The group afterwards broke up. Despite being a part of the coalition backing President Ismail Omar Guelleh’s administration, the front still backs the armed opposition.

A terrorist attack on a barracks in Djibouti claimed the lives of 7 servicemen.
