4 migrants killed and 17 injured in Honduras in a road accident

In a traffic accident in Honduras on Saturday, four immigrants from Venezuela were murdered and 17 others, including 16 Venezuelans and an Ecuadorean, were injured, according to the police.
In Agua Fria, 60 kilometres east of the capital Tegucigalpa, “the pickup truck was packed and the driver lost control and plunged into a gully,” a police official named Miguel Martinez told AFP.

According to government statistics, since the beginning of the year, about 110,000 migrants have travelled through Honduras on their way to the United States, the majority of whom are from Cuba, Venezuela, and Haiti. Only 17,590 migrants entered the country last year.

A vehicle accident in Honduras resulted in 4 migrant deaths and 17 injuries.
