Russia announces the causes of the Crimean bridge fire.. and details of what happened

The Russian National Anti-Terrorism Committee was quoted by Russian media as saying that a truck was detonated on the “Kerch” bridge at daybreak on Saturday, igniting several fuel tanks on a train that was crossing the bridge.
The Crimean Railways Authority said, for its part, that a fire in a fuel tank over the Crimean bridge did not result in any injuries.

Local Russian official Oleg Kryuchkov reportedly told RIA Novosti and TASS news agency that a petroleum storage tank thought to have caught fire and that traffic had stopped on the bridge.
Following its 2014 annexation of Crimea from Ukraine, Russia constructed a pair of land bridges and railroads that make up the crossing.
The fire broke out a few hours after explosions shook the city of Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine early on Saturday morning, sending smoke plumes into the sky and setting off a string of further explosions.

Ihor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv, stated on Telegram that missile strikes in the city centre were the cause of the early morning blasts.
Terekhov claimed that the explosions started fires in a non-residential structure and one of the city’s medical facilities.

Russia releases information on what transpired, including the causes of the Crimean bridge fire.
