Huge explosion of the Kerch bridge linking Russia and Crimea

The “Kerch” bridge connecting Russia and the Crimea saw a significant explosion, according to information from Ukrainian media on Saturday.
According to the Russian “Sputnik” news agency, the bridge connecting the Russian region of Krasnodar with the Crimea has been closed to vehicle and rail traffic.
The fire was started by a fuel tank on one of the locomotives of the express train that was travelling towards the Crimea, according to local authorities, who were quoted by the outlet.

According to Oleg Kryuchkov, the counsellor to the president of Crimea, experts are inspecting the bridge that observed the fire.
In the most recent developments regarding Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that Kiev’s forces have reclaimed nearly 2,500 square kilometres of territory that Russia had been occupying since the beginning of its counterattack at the end of September.

Zelensky stated in his daily social media intervention that “our soldiers liberated 776 square kilometres of land in the east of our country this week alone, as well as 29 settlements, six of which were in the Lugansk region.”
