The extensive disruption of train service in the country’s north was caused by a sabotage act, Deutsche Bahn, the German railway company, announced today, Saturday.
According to a company spokesperson who talked to the German news agency (dpa), “Deutsche Bahn was forced to stop the movement of trains in the north for approximately three hours before noon today due to the sabotage of wires that are vital to the movement of trains.
The spokeswoman further stated that the occurrence is the subject of investigations by the pertinent security services.
