Washington Post: Federal agents have collected evidence indicting Biden’s son for tax crimes and arms deals

According to The Washington Post, federal authorities looking into the case of Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, discovered enough evidence to find him guilty of tax offences and that he lied about a gun purchase.
According to a report published on Thursday by The Washington Post, the Delaware US attorney general will now determine whether to file charges.

The Hunter Biden probe started in 2018, and the then-President Donald Trump made it a prominent part of his 2020 reelection campaign.
Hunter Biden’s finances were initially the focus of the investigation, particularly his involvement in foreign trade and advisory work. Later, investigators from various agencies paid closer attention to whether Hunter failed to disclose the source of all of his input and whether he falsified documents related to his 2018 purchase of weapons.

However, it is ultimately up to Justice Department prosecutors, not the agents, to decide whether to file charges in cases where prosecutors believe the evidence is strong enough to result in a potential indictment at trial. Agents previously acknowledged that they had assembled a strong criminal case against the younger Biden.
David C. Weiss, the Delaware attorney general appointed by Trump in late 2017, is in charge of the lawsuit, according to attorney general Merrick Garland.

People with knowledge of the situation claim Garland promised there would be no improper or political meddling in the Hunter Biden case and refrained from pressuring Weiss to make a decision.
According to the attorney general, Justice Department investigations frequently take years to complete.

Federal authorities have gathered information that indicts Biden’s son for tax offences and arms sales, according to the Washington Post.
