Washington plans to ease sanctions on Venezuela to allow Chevron to export oil

According to reliable sources cited by The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, the United States is getting ready to relax some of its sanctions against Venezuela to allow Chevron to resume oil production there.
In accordance with the suggestions made by the publication, President Nicolas Maduro’s administration in Venezuela would pick up negotiations with the opposition after sanctions are loosened in order to talk about the prerequisites for holding free and fair presidential elections in 2024.
