Vancouver International Airport announces new ‘skip the line at security’ program

Traveling through the airport in Vancouver could be the solution if you’re sick of standing in line for security.
According to the airport, passengers flying via Vancouver International Airport to the United States now have the option to “skip the line at security.”
Vancouver International Airport personnel stated that YVR EXPRESS will enable travellers to plan a specified time to enter security screening and avoid waiting in line before passing through the screening process.

The reservation must be made between 72 and 90 minutes before departure.
The programme is now only accessible to travellers heading to the United States on flights scheduled between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. in the E-Section Gates, so not everyone will be able to utilise it.
People who want to use the programme must make an online appointment.
The airport stated that the customer will get a QR code through email once the appointment time has been set.

Passengers only need to present their QR code to personnel at the security checkpoint within 15 minutes of their reservation once they arrive at the airport.
The initiative is described in greater detail on the airport’s website for YVR travellers.

The new “skip the line at security” service has been announced by Vancouver International Airport.
