Thousands of Palestinians perform Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque

The hallowed Al-Aqsa Mosque was the site of thousands of Friday prayers, according to the Palestinian Wafa Agency, despite the numerous limitations imposed by the Israeli occupation troops.

According to the Palestinian Wafa Agency correspondent, the occupation soldiers increased their presence in the Holy City’s streets and in the area of Al-Aqsa Mosque, stationed at the mosque’s gates, stopping worshippers to verify their identification and placing limitations on visitors.

In spite of the barriers and obstructions erected by the occupying troops in the Old City’s alleyways, thousands of people attended the dawn prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque after being urged to do so by Jerusalem’s authorities.
