The non-farm payrolls statistics, which increased by 263 thousand jobs last month, exceeded forecasts of only 255,000 jobs, as shown by the report released today.
This year, job growth decreased from a monthly average of 562,000 in 2021 to around 420,000.
This boost in employment followed an 83 thousand job growth in the entertainment business in September, and employment levels in the health care sector grew by 60 thousand jobs, bringing them back to levels prior to the Corona pandemic.
