During this week’s trading, which ended on Wednesday, the real estate sector topped the list of the most actively traded industries on the Egyptian Stock Exchange with a total trading value of roughly 877.4 million pounds, or 23.9% of the market’s overall trading values.
The non-banking financial services sector came in second with a value of 546 million pounds, followed by the banking industry, which had a turnover of 609.3 million pounds.
The value of the food and beverage sector was £316.9 million, followed by the value of the communications, media, and technology sector at 231 million pounds.
With a value of 167.4 million pounds, the health care and pharmaceutical industry came in sixth, while the textile and durable goods sector, with a turnover of 165 million pounds, came in seventh.
The most actively traded stock market sectors this week were led by the real estate industry.
