The Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League discusses with the UN Coordinator in Lebanon ways to coordinate efforts to support the country

Ioana Frontka, the UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, and Ambassador Hossam Zaki, the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, talked about the best ways to coordinate aid for Lebanon.
They met today at the headquarters of the Arab League mission in Beirut with the participation of the delegation of the League of Arab States and the UN mission in Lebanon.

Frontka added that pushing Lebanon’s leaders to adhere to the constitutional deadlines and swiftly carry out the required reforms in the nation’s and its people’s best interests are part of measures to support Lebanon.

Frontka expressed her gratitude to Assistant Secretary-General Ambassador Hossam Zaki for the productive meeting at the start of his tour to Beirut in a statement released today, explaining that the discussion was in accordance with the relationship between the United Nations and the League of Arab States.
Ambassador Hossam Zaki started his two-day visit to Lebanon today. During his stay, he would meet with several prominent politicians and government officials in Lebanon.
