Al-Madina News: Our correspondent and the official Syrian media have confirmed that US forces conducted an airdrop operation in the northeastern Syrian city of Qamishli on Thursday.
In the southern countryside of the city, the town of Molouk, American helicopters made a landing.
The settlement, which is governed by Syrian government forces, is located 17 miles from the city of Qamishli.

Our correspondent reported that the operation, which took place at around three in the morning local time and lasted for two hours, involved three helicopters.
Security sources claim that during the operation, one individual was taken into custody and another was hurt. The goal of this operation is to find people who the American forces are looking for.
The locals claim that a man named “Abu Hayel,” who moved to the neighbourhood three years ago, was arrested and that not much is known about him.

Sources claim that during landing operation L, there were confrontations with Syrian soldiers that resulted in the death of a Syrian officer.
Syrian official television, for its part, verified the US airdrop and reported one fatality.
The US military has never conducted a landing operation in this area before.
