Musk attacks Trump’s platform, describing it as a “right-wing echo chamber”

According to Al Arabiya, Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk blasted former President Trump’s social media platform “Truth Social,” calling it a “right echo chamber,” amid his significant legal fights in the US courts over the ownership of Twitter and compelling him to complete the deal.
The software tycoon discussed his motivations for launching an attempt to purchase Twitter in a detailed interview with the Financial Times that was published on Friday. The acquisition has so far been beset by legal snafus.

It’s not like I’m trying to buy some boats and I can’t afford them, added Musk, who claimed that he didn’t purchase Twitter for the money. Be as dependable and open-minded as you can while exchanging thoughts.
The Financial Times quoted him as saying that the second choice was to let the conversation break up into other, prejudiced social media platforms.
Musk abandoned his $44 billion offer to purchase the social media network, which led to a legal dispute between him and Twitter.

Twitter sued Musk after the withdrawal on the grounds that the social media giant was unwilling to reveal the amount of active bots using its platform.
Just a few weeks before the scheduled start of the case’s trial in Delaware court, Musk changed his mind and said he was prepared to proceed with the $44 billion purchase earlier this week.
A Delaware court approved Musk’s motion to halt the trial on Thursday and gave him until October 28 to reach a settlement with Twitter.

It’s interesting to note that following his tweets on January 6, 2021, the day of the Capitol Rebellion, Trump was prohibited from using Twitter.
And there’s a chance that the outgoing president will be reinstalled if Musk takes control of the podium. The billionaire expressed interest in letting users who have been permanently banned to regain access to their accounts.

Republicans praised Musk’s bid to purchase Twitter when he first made the announcement, saying that his ownership would uphold the platform’s commitment to free expression.
Republicans have contended that restrictions regarding content moderation on websites like Twitter are disproportionately prejudiced towards conservative viewpoints.

Musk calls Trump’s platform a “right-wing echo chamber” and criticises it.
