An agreement for a strategic cooperation between Mubadala Investment Company and the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation was revealed.
The agreement was signed by the Mubadala Investment Company’s Hamid Abdullah Al Shammari, Deputy CEO of the Group, CEO, Corporate Affairs and Human Resources, and the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation’s Abdul Moneim Al Hashemi, President of the UAE and Asian Federations and First Vice President of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation, at a press conference held in Abu Dhabi.
The Jiu-Jitsu Arena will also be named after Mubadala Investments, which has been named the first official exclusive sponsor of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu team in all of its divisions under the terms of the cooperation agreement.
Jiu-Jitsu is particularly well-liked in the UAE, where there are more than 30,000 active practitioners. The rulers of the Emirates also hold the titles for all divisions of Jiu-Jitsu weights.
The alliance between Mubadala and the Jiu-Jitsu Federation is the first in an individual sport comparable to a team sport, such the ones between Emirates and Arsenal FC, Etihad and Manchester City, and Allianz and Bayern Munich and Juventus.
The UAE Jiu-Jitsu team’s first-ever official sponsor is Mubadala.
