Media: Germany proposes forming an alliance with Asian gas importers to reduce prices

Olaf Scholz, the chancellor of Germany, proposed joining forces with significant gas-importing nations to pressure gas exporters to lower their prices.
According to “Politico,” which cited unnamed diplomatic sources and private sources, Schulz made this suggestion to European leaders at the Prague summit because Germany wants to utilise its G7 leadership to establish this alliance.

The European Union, Japan, and South Korea—three of the biggest liquefied gas consumers worldwide—will work together through this alliance to prevent overcharging.
