France considers giving Ukraine additional Caesar defender

French President Emmanuel Macron announced Thursday that Paris is considering sending additional Caesar cannons to Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the conflict, France has provided Ukraine with 18 155-mm Caesar cannons with a range of up to 40 km, anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, armored vehicles, fuel, individual equipment and about fifteen 155-mm TRF1 cannons.

According to an informed source who spoke to AFP, Paris is thinking of supplying Kyiv with an additional six to twelve Caesar cannons that would be taken out of an order for Denmark. France is also considering supplying 20 Bastion armoured vehicles to Ukraine.
The European Union nations “will debate these topics and some methods,” the French president said, adding that he will give more information during a news conference following this informal summit in Prague on Friday.

Macron emphasised, “We will continue to support Ukraine financially, humanely, and militarily.”
In keeping with what we have been doing for some months, he continued, “This help will continue in terms of equipment and training.”
He said, referring to the United Kingdom, “We continue to move forward on the basis of demands and cooperate very closely between EU members and non-EU members.”

France is thinking on sending more Caesar defenders to Ukraine.
