America: No indications that Russia is ready to use nuclear weapons

As of Friday, a White House official said, “We have no reason to modify our strategic nuclear posture because we have no indicators that Russia is prepared to deploy nuclear weapons in an immediate way.”
This clarification by spokeswoman Karen Jean-Pierre follows strongly worded remarks by President Joe Biden, who said that the Russian war in Ukraine presented the prospect of a “end of the world” conflict for the first time since the Cold War.

During a brief press conference aboard the plane taking Joe Biden to northwest Washington, she was asked if this high-pitched tone of warning was related to fresh intelligence amassed by the United States, to which she said, “No.”
and added that “Biden’s words show how serious it is in dealing with nuclear threats to Russia,” calling Jean-statements Pierre’s from Russia over the use of nuclear weapons “irresponsible”.

Biden said Thursday in New York, “We haven’t faced the prospect of a battle leading to the end of the world since (President John) Kennedy and the Cuban missile crisis in 1962, adding: “We are trying to understand how (Russian President Vladimir) Putin will find a way out. ”
Russian President Vladimir Putin alluded to the use of a nuclear bomb in a televised speech on September 21, on the impact of field gains made by Ukrainian forces that receive military assistance from Western countries.

Putin declared himself willing to combat the West using “all means at his disposal,” accusing it of wanting to “destroy Russia.”

United States: There are no signs that Russia is prepared to use nuclear weapons.
