White House announces readiness for dialogue with North Korea

Despite North Korea’s ongoing launch of ballistic missiles, White House press secretary Karen Jean-Pierre stated that Washington is open to speaking with Pyongyang without restrictions. This was reported by “Russia Today”.

Pierre highlighted her displeasure with Pyongyang’s refusal to comply with US requests in response to North Korea’s recent intercontinental ballistic missile launch and said that this underscored the significance of Washington’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to fully denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.

It is noteworthy that North Korea has fired 23 intercontinental ballistic missiles since the start of the year, the most recent of which was on Tuesday when it fired a “Hwasong-12” missile with a range of 4,600 km into the air over the northern Japanese prefecture of Aomori before crashing outside the economic zone in the country’s territorial waters in the Quiet Sea.
Similar circumstances occurred in 2017, when Pyongyang fired a ballistic missile into the sky of Japan.

The White House declares itself ready for talks with North Korea.
