Manchester United’s Dutch head coach, Eric Ten Hag, discussed his team’s most recent preparations before of their match against Omonia Nicosia tomorrow in the third round of the European League’s group stage in 2023.
In the press conference before the meeting, Ten Hag spoke about Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo. “Ronaldo was not happy on the day of facing City. Ronaldo wants to play and gets angry a lot when he does not play, but I did not involve him in the second half out of respect for him, it has nothing to do with the January transfer market,” Ten Hag said.
Regarding the Don’s mental health, Tin Hag said, “I do not see that Ronaldo is unhappy; rather, he is cheerful and trains well like everyone else.

The Manchester United manager continued, “We will play with our best team tomorrow; we want to foster a culture of competition here. I thank Pep Guardiola, the Manchester City manager, for the lesson he taught us during the derby. We must realise that we must work harder and better.
“Sunday was like a horrible day at the office, it was a reminder of the reality of things,” Ten Hag continued. I’m grateful to Pep and Manchester City for teaching me this.
We need to get better and perform better than we did. We acknowledge that Manchester City performed better, but we reject the unacceptable standard.
We will inevitably suffer setbacks. We defeated Liverpool and Arsenal, but in the derby we had a horrible day; they were superior than us and we had to accept that. I am unable to predict when Bissaka and Van van Beek will make a comeback.
But we cannot accept the inferior technical level that we have displayed, the Dutch coach said in a final statement.
