Sweden announces a reduction in the severity of gas leaks from the Nord Stream pipeline

According to a statement from the Swedish Coast Guard, the Nord Stream pipelines’ undersea gas leak in the Swedish Economic Zone looks to be waning in intensity.
Sweden has begun an investigation there, and according to a Wednesday article in the newspaper Dagens Nyheter, the navy is maintaining a mine-hunting and submarine rescue ship close to the leaks.

The presence of a submarine rescue ship was confirmed by a Navy spokeswoman, but the presence of the other ship was not.
Over the weekend, the two spills into Danish waterways had already subsided. Today, Wednesday, the Danish Energy Agency said via Twitter that Gazprom Transgaz will empty natural gas from the undamaged “Pipeline B” of Nord Stream 2.

The severity of gas leaks from the Nord Stream pipeline has decreased, according to Sweden.
