Seville clings to hope against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League

The German team Borussia Dortmund will face its Spanish opponent Seville in a competitive matchup this evening, Wednesday, in the third round of the seventh group in the group stage of the Champions League for the current season 2023.
Seville will take on Borussia Dortmund at nine o’clock tonight, Cairo time, at the Andalusian team’s stadium, the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

In Group G of the Champions League, Borussia Dortmund sits in second place with 3 points, 3 points behind group leader Manchester City, who has 6 points.
Seville, on the other hand, is tied with Copenhagen of Denmark for last place in the standings with one point.
Seville aims to take advantage of the crowd and the stadium to steal the three match points necessary to move up a group and battle for a qualification card.

As its direct rival’s chances of moving on to the next round are reduced, the German team will work hard to win and secure the three points necessary to ensure its ascension to the top of the group.
Borussia Dortmund, a German team, was set to play Seville, a Spanish team, however it was reported that four players will not be participating because the team did not leave for Spain this morning, including captain Marco Reus, defenders Mats Hummels and Marius Wolf, and midfielder Giovanni Reina.

Reus had a foot injury during the derby game last month against Schalke 04, but coach Eden Terzic hopes for a quick recovery.
Due to a cold, Hummels and Wolff were absent from Dortmund’s most recent game against Cologne, and Reina sustained an injury while playing for the US national team during the previous international break.

Goalkeeper Gregor Koppel returned to the club after a recent absence due to a muscular ailment, but it was unclear whether he would be able to play.

In the Champions League matchup against Borussia Dortmund, Seville holds onto hope.
