Female artists from the Arab and international communities took part in the festival and showcased their best work in music, theatre, comedy, and film. As a result, the “Hea Al-Funoon” festival condensed the cultures of various artistic peoples on the territory of Cairo, the metropolis of the Arab world.
“This creative chance gave a fertile arena for further presentations of women’s works from Egypt and outside Egypt,” said Snevin Kenawy, the festival’s creator and director. We want to make it stronger.

Assuring every woman that there is always a place for her passion, eyes waiting, and ears listening for her creations, the Festival’s mission statement reads, “The role of the Festival is not limited to displaying artworks only, but also supports aspiring artists by producing artwork for some of them.

The festival’s conductor, Maddalena Klein, said: “I think it’s important to have a full festival, focused on The talents in Egypt and the cooperation with artists from abroad like me, so I’m lucky, and today’s show with a group of female musicians was fun. There are many outstanding female artists, but they do not get the same amount of attention and celebration as men.
