North Korea reveals the reason for its missile tests

While Washington viewed these launches as a danger to the international community and Seoul pledged to take “strong” countermeasures, North Korea declared on Thursday that its latest missile tests are a “counter-measure” for the US and South Korean forces’ combined military drills.

The combined military drills between South Korea and the United States, according to the North Korean Foreign Ministry, “are the right action by the Korean People’s Army against these missile tests,” the ministry stated in a statement.
According to “AFP,” she also said that these drills “create an increase of military tensions on the Korean peninsula.”
The isolated communist nation has long perceived the American and southerners’ actions as the “prelude to an invasion.”
