Night protests renewed in Iran..fire devours pictures of Khamenei

After the third week of protests in Iran came to a close, nocturnal demonstrations occurred in several Iranian cities, particularly the capital Tehran and Shiraz.
On Wednesday night, demonstrators shouted “Death to the Dictator” from balconies, rooftops, and windows in different Tehran alleys.
In Ahvaz, protesters torched billboards with a photograph of the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
In Kish, Iran’s most popular tourist destination, protests also broke out in the streets.

In addition, there were additional nightly protests, which resulted in the closure of the main route leading to Karat Sarbaz in Baluchistan.
Protesters lit the streets on fire in Sanandaj, the capital of Iranian Kurdistan, in order to prepare for the nighttime rallies.
It is significant that Mahsa Amini, a young woman from the Iranian Kurdish city of Saqqaz, was killed after protests broke out in Iran.

The young woman died on September 16 (2022) three days after her arrest by the “morality police”, and then transferred to a hospital in Tehran.
Her death has since fueled anger in the country over several issues, including restrictions on personal liberties and strict dress codes for women.
In addition to the living and economic crisis that Iranians suffer from, not to mention the strict rules imposed by the regime and its political structure in general.

Women took a significant role in those demonstrations, and demonstrators waved and torched their headscarves.
The protests that have swept through dozens of cities over the past few weeks are still the biggest since those over petrol prices in 2019, when it was believed that 1,500 people were murdered in crackdowns against protesters, according to Reuters.
