In a new tone, Putin: Russia has great respect for the Ukrainians

Putin stated that he anticipated the situation in the four Ukrainian regions that he announced to be partially under Russian control on Friday to stabilise.
Putin completed the action taken by Moscow today, on Wednesday, by signing laws to annex 4 regions of Ukraine into Russia.
Following referendums in the four regions that Ukraine and the West deemed illegal, formal procedures were taken.

The Russian presidency, often known as “the Kremlin,” promised earlier today to return the territory that Ukraine had recently reclaimed, reiterating that the territory had been taken by the Russian Federation and would remain “Russian forever.”
In a statement to the press on Wednesday, Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian president, claimed that “certain lands will be recovered” and added that “we will continue to vote with the local community on their choice to live in Russia.”
“Some lands there will be reclaimed, I reiterate.

Residents who demonstrate a wish to coexist with Russia will continue to be consulted, Peskov underlined.
The European Union member states decided on Wednesday to implement a new round of sanctions against Russia as a result of the annexation process.
According to diplomats, the agreement was made at the level of the ambassadors of the 27 nations, and on Thursday, the names and organisations that will be subject to the new sanctions will be published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Putin says in a new voice that he has enormous regard for the Ukrainians.
