He noted that beach hotels had the lowest percentage of participants and visitors to the show, while the occupancy rate declined to roughly 90% in hotels along Sheikh Zayed Road.
According to Wego, a company that specialises in travel services and online bookings, there were over 158,000 searches for flights from abroad to the UAE to attend international conferences and fairs.
The most popular destinations during that time, according to her explanation, were India, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Jordan, and Morocco, and the average stay was around 7 days.
According to the data, four- and five-star hotels dominate hotel searches and account for 76% of all reservations.
