For the first time, Egypt’s agricultural exports exceed 5 million tons

According to a report he received from Dr. Ahmed Al-Attar, head of the administration, Al-Qaseer, minister of agriculture and land reclamation, announced that Egypt’s agricultural exports have exceeded 5,119,411 tonnes thus far, an increase of 258,824 tonnes over the same period last year, when it was 4,760,587 tonnes. A central agricultural quarantine will be placed on all exports of agricultural products between January 1 and October 4, 2022.

Citrus fruits, potatoes, fresh onions, grapes, fresh tomatoes, potatoes, strawberries, fresh beans and guavas, garlic, mangoes, watermelons, and pomegranates were listed as the top agricultural exports in the survey.

The total agricultural exports of citrus reached 1,632,936 tonnes; in addition, 855,920 tonnes of fresh potatoes were exported, ranking second in agricultural exports after citrus; 343,022 tonnes of onions were exported, ranking third in exports; grapes came in fourth with a total of 150 thousand and 317 tonnes; beans occupied the fifth position with a total of 134 thousand and 297 tonnes; and Egypt’s exports of potatoes came in at number five with a total of 134 thousand and 2

7905 tonnes altogether, or one-tenth of all agricultural exports from Egypt.
