Dortmund hopes Haller will return after the World Cup

After missing a significant amount of time due to a testicular tumour, Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has stated that he believes forward Sebastian Haller will be able to play again in the second half of the season.
In statements to the publication “Sport Bild,” Watzke said: “I met with Sebastian on Tuesday, when he told me that he will shortly finish chemotherapy.” The statements were published on Wednesday. We have high hopes that he will be able to re-join the squad during the second half of the campaign.

We don’t want to put pressure on him, and we shouldn’t, Watzke continued. He was afflicted with a severe disease. He’ll have the time he requires.
After Haller transferred from Ajax to Borussia Dortmund in July, testing showed that he had a testicular tumour.
The tumour was discovered to be cancerous after it was removed, and the 28-year-old underwent chemotherapy.
