Czech president calls on West to respond forcefully if Putin uses nuclear weapons

The “grave threat” of a nuclear war provoked by Russia’s attack on Ukraine was highlighted by Czech President Milos Zeman on Wednesday.
Zeman, 78, warned on the outskirts of the summit that the West should warn the Kremlin that if nuclear weapons are deployed, there will be a “decisive military response… notwithstanding all the dangers that this may involve.” Today, Wednesday, in Prague, with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar.
An agreement for increased economic cooperation was struck by the two parties.

The Czechs are hoping that future LNG shipments from Qatar will lessen their nation’s reliance on Russian supply. In terms of liquefied natural gas exports, Qatar is a global leader.
